Every August 26th, there is a tomato throwing festival in Plaza del Pueblo, Valencia, Spain. It is named La Tomatina. From 11am the street erupts with the sight of tomatoes being hurled. Anyone in that area at the time is nearly certainly splattered and no one is safe.  The tomato juice covers the floor with a blanket of scarlet and the people in the plaza look quite the same. So, if you are looking for a fun holiday location over Summer and you don’t mind needing to wash off tomato mush then why don’t you take a trip down to Valencia but remember not to bring your best clothes unless you want to dye them red.
