I think you’re right to challenge it and I like the way you’re not assuming that just because something IS done it is the right thing to do.

It is actually something various teachers worry about – and there are books about it too. There may even be evidence to suggest homework doesn’t help until you are 15!

Really, teachers give you homework to help YOU. If you want to do well then you do them to get some extra study done. Don't you learn better if you are doing something more often. If you do something only at school then go and do something completely different then details can slip from your mind. However, if you do a bit more work straight when you get home, it sticks.
